Today is my friend Jimmy's birthday. I miss him terribly. I think about him everyday. I pray for his wife and boys a whole lot. I celebrate today for being the wonderful day that God blessed this earth with one amazing human being. I only wish I had known him longer. He left a wonderful mark on my life. Thank you God for placing him in my life and for the things he shared with me and taught me. Jimmy you will never be forgotten and I can't wait to see you again! Have fun enjoying your new home; I bet the fishing is amazing.

I have no connection at all with Mr. York except that he baptized me...I wasn't even aware he was the one until Amy told me after his death. I have enjoyed reading your posts on him because of that. I didn't know the man but he was instrumental on the most important day in my life. I am eternally grateful to him for that.
When I think of the things you say about your friend, one word stands out, example. It's out there, set for all to see and emulate. Sometimes, it just helps to see what can be done when Christ rules a life. Now go DO what Jimmy showed can be done. Praise God for his example before us.
I knew him all too briefly. But even though I didn't know him well or for very long, he DID make an impact in my life!! I can't wait to see him again as well and I'll have eternity to get to know him :)
Thanks for this post my friend.
